Camp ADventure

Situation:

During the summer of 2020, students and recent graduates were getting their internships and job offers rescinded due to COVID-19. The graduating class of 2020 was about to enter the industry, and for some, the first opportunity to start their professional career was taken away.

Solution:

We partnered with the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) to create an 8-week virtual “summer camp” that provided real-world experience working for live clients.

Campers were able to compete in a pitch competition, as well as work on passion projects, and attend workshops and a speaker series hosted by executive-level industry leaders.

Results:

200 “Campers” from 64 universities came together

4 Live Clients (ICMEC, Buy From A Black Woman, Black Woman Owned, and The James Madison Foundation)

130+ professional mentors

1/3 of our campers were able to land full-time jobs post Camp

Press:

We earned a lot of attention because of how fast we were able to pull this off. Camp ADventure was picked up by ABC News, Richmond BizSense, and VCU News. And globally we were featured on Adweek and AdAge.
